ABOUT THIS SERVICE

Terms of Use

An intake request is not legal representation. Injury North is a marketing and intake service, not a law firm. We do not assess legal rights, calculate deadlines, file claims or guarantee that a lawyer will accept a request. Contact a lawyer directly and promptly if timing matters.

1. Operator and scope

These terms govern the Injury North website and intake service operated by Kardashev Vision Inc., operating as Injury North (“we”, “us”). The service focuses on inquiries about motor vehicle accidents and slips, trips or falls in Ontario. Read these terms and our Privacy Policy before submitting. The final questionnaire step asks you to agree to these terms.

We collect and organize information you provide and may contact you about a possible review by an Ontario personal injury lawyer or law firm. Initially, requests are received by Injury North’s operator. Before sharing your information with a firm, we will identify that firm and obtain your permission. We do not provide a ranking of all available lawyers, and you are free to contact any lawyer independently.

2. No legal advice or lawyer-client relationship

Our website, questions, administrative flags, messages and receipt confirmations are general intake information, not legal advice. We do not decide whether your matter is valid, within a deadline or likely to succeed. Acceptance of a questionnaire means only that we received it; it does not mean a firm has reviewed it, agreed to act, or received a notification email.

Submitting to Injury North does not create a lawyer-client relationship. Any legal representation must be agreed separately with the lawyer or law firm. No lawyer acceptance, compensation, settlement amount or other result is promised. Do not assume that communications with this non-law-firm intake service are protected by solicitor-client privilege. Our obligations to handle personal information still apply.

3. Deadlines and emergencies

A submission does not commence a legal proceeding, give legally effective notice, stop a limitation period or preserve any other deadline. Different notice and filing deadlines can apply, including deadlines much shorter than two years. A question about an incident’s age is an administrative prompt, not a calculation of your deadline.

Do not wait for our response if a deadline may be approaching. Contact a qualified lawyer directly. We do not promise a response within a particular time and the service is not monitored for emergencies. Contact emergency services for immediate danger or urgent medical assistance.

4. Your information and authority

Give accurate information to the best of your knowledge, use uncertainty options when appropriate and correct material errors by contacting us. Provide only the information needed for initial intake. Do not upload or email unnecessary medical files, government identifiers, banking details or third-party information.

For a child’s request, a request on behalf of another person, or where assistance with understanding and consenting is needed, contact us first with basic contact details so appropriate authority and consent can be established. Do not submit sensitive information about someone else merely because you have access to it.

The Privacy Policy explains intake processing, email copies, storage, retention and how to exercise your privacy rights. Consent to request-related contact is not consent to unrelated advertising. You can withdraw consent subject to the explained limits and applicable law.

5. Costs and your choice of lawyer

Injury North does not charge you to submit this questionnaire. Any legal services, fees, disbursements, taxes or other expenses must be discussed and agreed with the lawyer or firm before you retain them. This website does not promise free legal representation or any particular fee arrangement. You do not have to retain a firm introduced through this service.

6. Acceptable use and website content

Use the service lawfully. Do not impersonate someone, submit fabricated claims as real requests, send malicious content or spam, probe or bypass security controls, harvest other people’s information or interfere with the service. We may limit abusive access and decline inappropriate requests while continuing to respect applicable privacy and preservation duties.

Our site design, branding and original content are owned by or licensed to Kardashev Vision Inc. You may view and save copies for personal use, including a copy of these terms and your own information. You retain your rights in the information you provide; submitting it gives us only the permissions needed for the processing described to you, not ownership of your story.

7. Availability and responsibility

We take reasonable steps to operate the website reliably, but cannot promise uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, delivery to every email inbox or acceptance by a lawyer. If a submission fails, follow the on-screen retry instructions. If no receipt can be confirmed, contact us and keep the reference shown. Do not repeatedly create new requests to resolve an uncertain delivery.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not warrant the decisions, services or results of an independent lawyer or other third party, and we are not responsible for losses caused solely by those independent decisions or by your failure to obtain timely legal advice. These terms do not excuse our own legal obligations, waive liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or remove your statutory privacy, consumer or other rights. There is no mandatory arbitration or class-action waiver in these terms.

8. Links and future changes

External websites are controlled by their respective operators. Check their terms and privacy practices before providing information. We may update this website and these terms prospectively. The current date and version appear above. Material changes will be brought to your attention as appropriate, and required new consent will be obtained. Changes do not retroactively remove accrued rights or authorize unrelated processing of earlier submissions.

9. Applicable law and contact

These terms are governed by Ontario law and applicable Canadian federal law, subject to any mandatory protections that apply to you. Nothing here limits your right to bring a complaint to a regulator or seek a remedy in a court with jurisdiction. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

For service questions or an accessible way to discuss the intake process, contact Kardashev Vision Inc., operating as Injury North, at info@injurynorth.ca. Send only your contact details and reference initially; avoid repeating sensitive injury information in ordinary support email.
